Liverpool have to fill a gaping hole in midfield with skipper Jordan Henderson and Fabinho moving to the Saudi Pro League while James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain left for free with nothing more to offer.
The former Liverpool captain will join the Saudi Pro League after Al -Ettifaq paid a fee estimated at 13 million pounds ($16.77 million), according to reports.
Al-Qadsiah, who finished 11th last season, posted a picture on twitter of the 48-year-old coach with the club scarf signing the contract.
"The intention is Melwood will offer an elite facility that enables LFC Women's first team to continue to compete at the highest level, attracting, developing and retaining the best talent in the game," Liverpool said in a statement.
"No worries (about Salah's future)... Obviously Mo loves being here and Mo was part of it. He said apologies for what 'we' did, not apologies for 'what the other guys did, but I had to go with them'. Not at all, it's all fine," Klopp said.
"We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it's too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down."
The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the campaign and Liverpool boss Juergen Klopp confirmed he was one of four players who would leave in the close season along with James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
